Foundation Donates New COE Student/Staff Activity Van

Photo: Interior view of new van.In the summer of 2015, the UMCOE Foundation fundedĀ the purchase of a new College of Engineering Student/Staff Activity van. This 15-passenger Ford van replaces an ageing van with the most current redesign for improved safety and utility. The Foundation worked with now-retired Marty Walker in 2015 after he made a grant proposal on behalf of the many student clubs he sponsors or coordinates. When the University was made aware of this donation, and the safety improvements needed in another older van, they agreed to match the Foundation’s gift through their budget appropriation process to the COE. The Foundation is proud that our COE Students can now travel to their many eventsĀ in vans deserving of their enthusiastic involvement in engineering activities.
